How to set up a room
- Open Zanjirband and type your name; it shows above your character.
- Press the button to create a room. A four-letter code appears, for example KPRT.
- Read the code out, or copy the link and send it via Telegram or any messenger. When a friend opens the link, the code is already filled in.
- Once everyone is in, the room owner starts the climb. A room holds up to four people.

Who does what
- The lead goes first, picks the next jump and calls when to move. When the chain pulls them back, they wait instead of forcing it.
- The anchor stands on the safest spot and braces whenever things get risky. Usually that is the last player on the chain.
- The middle players watch both ways: keeping up with the lead and waiting for whoever is behind is their job.
- Roles are not fixed: the lead on one obstacle can be the anchor on the next. Whoever sees the route best goes first.
Talk it through
Most falls happen when two people jump at once. Agree on short calls in advance: “brace!” means everyone stands still, “going” means one person jumps, “pulling” means the one above braces while the one below climbs the chain. It is at its best on a voice call, though sitting side by side on the same sofa works just as well.
Phones and computers together
A room does not care what you play on: one friend uses a keyboard on a computer, another plays with thumbs on a phone. Everyone gets the same map and the same rules. The game opens in the browser with nothing to install, so a link is all your friend needs. Controls are explained on the rules page. More games to play with friends are on the site too.
FAQ
Can a stranger get into our room?
Only if they know the code, and only the people you sent it to know it.
How long does a room stay open?
As long as at least one person is inside. When everyone leaves it closes, and next time you simply open a new one.
What if a friend joins after we have started?
If there is a free spot, they can join with the code at any time. When they arrive, the team regroups at the last lit bonfire and the chain is linked up there.
Do we need voice chat?
Not required, but a call in any messenger makes it far more fun and makes timing your jumps much easier.
